Marinate tofu for at least one hour, preferably two or more. For extra tastiness, marinate the tofu in a little soy sauce before adding it to the primary marinade.
Bake at 400 degrees for ~30 minutes.
Broil for the last five minutes to crisp if needed (keep a close eye on it).
Pasta, Veggies, and Sauce
Boil water for pasta.
Cook asparagus for 3 minutes in the pasta water then shock in an ice bath. Set aside.
Boil pasta but cook for one minute shorter than normal (pasta will continue to cook a little bit when all ingredients are combined in the end).
In a large skillet, heat up butter or olive oil.
Cook onions, peppers, and garlic (keep some crunch). Salt and pepper to taste. Once onions + peppers are nearly ready, add honey. Set aside if you want to keep the onions + peppers super crunchy, otherwise keep them in the pan for the next step and they will continue to cook.
Cook adobo sauce, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese in the skillet for at least 4 minutes.
Try to reduce the sauce a little bit, but the sauce will thicken the most when resting after dish is complete before serving.
